About me

The story behind

My name is Sofia Wahlgren, and I started painting as a form of therapy, a way to learn to relax, let go of all thoughts, and simply be in the present moment. I live with chronic headaches, and through art, I have found a place where I can breathe, feel calm, and express things that are sometimes difficult to put into words.

My painting is strongly inspired by the beauty of nature, urban environments, animals, and landscapes. I primarily work with acrylics and enjoy exploring textures, layers, and harmonious color combinations to create feeling and depth in my works. For me, art is not just about the visual, but about conveying a sense of stillness, presence, and emotion.

What began as therapy and a childhood dream has today become an important part of my life and my way of engaging with the world.

Welcome to my world!
